World Net Logistics supports the Africa Food For Thought Easter Egg Drive
World Net Logistics took part in the yearly Easter Egg Drive of the non-profit organisation African Food For Thought in 2017. The initiative of handing out Easter eggs to underprivileged school children and make their Easter a little brighter was a great success.
In the past weeks, the employees of World Net Logistics collected and donated dozens of marshmallow eggs for this purpose.
Together with the team of African Food For Thought, some staff members hand-delivered the Easter eggs to the 1245 pupils, teachers and other school employees of the Onkgaports Tiro Primary School in Tshepisong West, Roodepoort, Johannesburg.
“It was a very rewarding and eye-opening experience” commented Maria Hofer, Marketing Manager of World Net Logistics. “The treats brought smiles to the children’s faces and they were very excited about our visit. “
Most of the pupils of the Onkgaports Tiro Primary School come from financially and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. African Food For Thought is supporting the school with food donations and tries to make days like Easter and Christmas special for the kids.
Every egg was decorated with a little message, to make the children feel loved, unique and to give it a personal touch.
The school’s deputy principal Ms. Nkwanyana thanked World Net Logistics for the generous donation and for handing over the gifts to the pupils.
World Net Logistics is privileged to be part of making a small difference in a child’s life.
