World Net Logistics acquired by Rhenus Logistics

The Rhenus Group has acquired the global operations of World Net Logistics. “This is a significant and positive change for our company.” said Dirk Goedhart, CEO of World Net Logistics (WNL).

The Rhenus Group is a logistics services provider with global business operations and an annual turnover of EUR 4.8 billion.

Rhenus board member Tobias Bartz said: “The acquisition of WNL marks an important step for us in establishing a network in South Africa and other African countries.

WNL’s presence in Asia and Europe also strengthens our global network with additional intercontinental connections. We are confident that we will grow further together and that within the Rhenus Group, WNL will continue to develop sustainably.”

Rhenus has 610 locations and 29 000 employees with core business areas in contract logistics, freight logistics and port logistics.

Founded in 1912 in Germany, it is a privately owned business.

“We see great potential for further joint growth with Rhenus. It provides excellent prospects for long-term development.” Goedhart mentioned.
